A Removable Acrylic Denture Supported by Dental Implants (When All Your Teeth are Failing)

The plastic (Acrylic) set of teeth are similar to a set of dentures but are anchored on dental implants making them more stable than conventional tissue supported dentures.

the jaws vary in bone density and quality hence the upper jaw requires more implants to support a plastic prosthesis than the lower jaw that requires only 2 implants that can suffice for this option.

Upper Jaw

Lower Jaw

A minimum of 2 implants in the lower canine region will support an entire lower denture and offer greater stability than a conventional denture. However the denture will rock and pivot on 2 implants and 4 implants is more stable a situation. The disadvantage is that these will need to be removed at night.
